Every batch of inlet liners is tested for activity using the EPA 8081B method. This standard method ensures that each batch of inlet liners has less than 3% Endrin breakdown. All SGE liners are deactivated with a high temperature (>400°C) gas phase reagent. We validate this quality assurance by including a batch certificate with every pack.

Features and benefits
• Robust and durable for longer life, less maintenance downtime and reduced maintenance costs.
• ConnecTite liners facilitate maximum transfer of sample to the GC column and inhibit sample degradation by reducing contact with hot metal components inside the inlet.
• A hole in the liner body maintains gas flows in systems equipped with electronic pressure control.
• ConnecTite liners with a hole near the bottom are ideal for analyses where early eluting compounds may be affected by a tailing solvent peak.
• ConnecTite liners with a hole at the top improve analyses of aqueous samples.

Features and benefits
The SGE FocusLiner® uses a unique design to hold the quartz wool in the correct position.
• Two focus points in the liner ensures quartz wool remains in the optimum location.
• The wiping of the needle by the quartz wool prevents droplet formation ensuring excellent reproducibility.
• The presence of the quartz wool improves vaporization minimizing high molecular weight discrimination..

The FocusLiner is recommended for the following sample or injection modes:
• General purpose.

Features and benefits
• A bottom taper focuses sample onto the head of the column and minimizes sample contact with metal parts of the inlet.
• A taper at the top aids in minimizing sample flashback.
• Remember – the addition of quartz wool to your inlet liner promotes mixing of analytes, aids the vaporization of liquid
samples, works as a trap to collect nonvolatile residue in the sample (i.e. protects capillary column from ‘dirty’ samples).
• TI deactivated liners are optimized for EPA8270 method and are pre-fitted with an o-ring to minimize handling.

Taper / Gooseneck liners are recommended for the following sample or injection modes:
• Trace level analysis

Injection Port | Inlet Liner PTV/LVIPTV/LVI inlet liner

Features and benefits
• PTV and LVI liners generally have sintered glass beads or powder to increase the surface area and trap nonvolatile residue.
• PTV liners use baffles or a wisp of quartz wool to aid in vaporization of samples and retain droplets during low temperature injections.
• Side hole needles are recommended for these techniques to ensure effective distribution of sample within the liner.

PTV/LVI liners are recommended for the following sample or injection modes:
• Trace level analyses.
• PTV/LVI.
• Large volume Injections.
